Cookie Hearts
- 1 cup unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla
- 3 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
Icing:
- 1 cup filtered Confectioners' Sugar
- 2 tablespoon Milk
Directions
- Beat the butter and sugar until light and feathery. Blend in the eggs and vanilla; mix it well.
- Mix together the flour, salt and baking soda; and then put it into the sugar mixture until well blended. Cool it for 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Divide the dough into quarters. Now, roll out one quarter on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut them into heart shapes with a 2-inch cutter and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake it for 5 to 8 minutes or until the cookies become brown at the edges. Cool on a wire rack.

- 1 cup White Sugar
- 1 cup Softened Butter
- 1 lightly beaten Egg
- 3 Tablespoon Half-And-Half
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

- Heat the oven to 400 degrees F (nearly 200 degrees C) at first.
- Mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Blend the butter with a pastry blender after cutting it. Continue until the crumbly mixture is obtained.
- Stir in the lightly beaten egg, vanilla and half-and-half using a fork. Blend properly first with a fork and then with your hand for thorough blending.
- Give it an hour to get chilled. It would help in easier rolling of dough.
- If you do not want rolling, chill it for just 15 minutes.
- If you are going for rolling, go for this step otherwise skip: roll the dough on a floured shell. Keep the thickness to ¼ inches.
